Protonix (formerly BS/OS) - 2005/04/23 18:02 Some people here may have heard of BootSector/OS. Well i'm the author and I decided to just do a rewrite and call it "Protonix". Only at build 1 but coming along nicely. Kernel is 278 bytes!

Here's the link:

Re: Protonix (formerly BS/OS) - 2005/04/24 04:58 Welcome to our site!

Your project is very interesting, and since you're after minimalizing the executables size, you may like to integrate applications from http://www.256b.com.

You will have to make your kernel 22 bytes shorter

Good Luck!

Re: Protonix (formerly BS/OS) - 2005/05/07 12:06 Since my last post, 2 new versions have been released.

Important: http://www.bootsector.tk will no longer work (I had to cancel the domain as it interfered with the forum).

Use http://protonix.asmhackers.net

Re: Protonix (formerly BS/OS) - 2005/06/09 11:21 I built a 512byte OS that fits in the boot sector of a floppy, it runs in full pmode, has full 32bpp vesa graphics, with GUI, vesa fonts, its own pmode ATAPI driver, and built in CD player.
Its also coded with fasm, its called "CdPod".
You can try it here: http://board.flatassembler.net/topic.php?t=2164&start=50
It comes with full fasm source code.

NOTE: I was called "ASHLEY4" then.
