Re: osdev.org - 2004/10/15 00:27
I used to describe it as a community and links site, more of a portal. Never contained many documents but had most amature OS dev projects listed and tutorial/resource pages listed. They did have a web ring linked into the links page but that has also since stopped working with the sites removal. (At one point had a couple of good protected mode hello world kernel tutorials, also one on mixing assembly with C)
I'm personally keeping the web-ring code on my site incase they return soon. (hope so). The site that appears to have appeared at the address moose pasted has a link to sourceforge so at least not looking like a commercial site and wouldn't of thought an opensource project would of grabbed the domain that fast. Guess we will have to wait and see.
Apple, the weblinks can prob be re-subbmitted anyhows (some where beginning to get out of date anyhows) but if you have any tutorials from that site they would be worth holding onto and maybe sending here (license/copyright etc permitting, but sure some one would check that before adding to the downloads page)
