[poll] Fedora Core 4 has been released - 2005/06/14 14:41 Fedora Core 4 sponsored by Red Hat and supported by the Fedora community (soon to be Fedora Foundation) has been released with a number of new features including GNOME 2.10, KDE 3.4, Openoffice.org 2.0 (pre release with enhancements), Evince document viewer, , Xen, GFS, GCC 4.0, Enhancements in SELinux, support for the PPC architecture, Free Java stack (using GCJ) including Eclipse and Apache Jakarta among others.

Re: [poll] Fedora Core 4 has been released - 2005/06/15 09:36 Good timing for the PowerPC support. When apple stop developing updates for PowerPC's maybe they'll all convert to Fedora lol.

I'm (as I'm sure many members have gathered from the last topic in the 'os gossip' category) a debian user rather than redhat. But heard good things about them. Congratulations on the new release fedora guys!

Debian a couple of weeks back now Fedora, wonder if any other major distributions are going to follow the trend

Every new linux version is good news as most major distributions share ideas/principles so if 1 distribution makes a breakthough the beneficts filter down to the rest for there next versions.
