This is more of a news bulletin but didn't think it merited a whole article on it quite yet. But just to let you guys know that that Bona fide website (www.osdever.net) are starting work on a community OS.
Personally I lack the time but if anyones interested in taking part in an OS from the start and working on a module or so check out www.osdever.net forums.
I'm not a fan of community projects but this one looks quite well organised so the question (longer term future one) is if anyones interested in following there example if it works out, learning from there organisation/mistakes but with this community.
We did a long time ago work on something similar that never worked out through IRC (a few major contributions code wise all made without much planning or thought so nothing really worked out in the end). But if enough people take an interest I'm sure we can facilitate an attempt at a community OS.
