Memory managment - 2008/03/09 11:59 I know there is paging and i belive this is to do with memory managment but the malloc and free functions are somethoing to do with this aint they or am i missing something out cant find any tutorials or anything usefull for memory managment

Re:Memory managment - 2008/03/10 10:23 Paging gives each process its own virtual address space. The paging mechanism translates from virtual addresses to physical ones.

Malloc and free work on top of paging, keeps track of free memory and hands it out if someone asks for it.
